Professional profile

CFD & simulation engineering

Mechanical and aerospace engineering experience spanning computational fluid dynamics, finite-element methods, fluid–structure interaction and experimental validation. Reusable modelling workflows in Python and C++ connect numerical analysis with measured data.

Experience

2023—Present

PhD Candidate · Computational Aerodynamics

TU Delft Wind Energy Institute · Delft, the Netherlands

  • Developed hybrid Eulerian–Lagrangian CFD methods for unsteady external flows and integrated large-eddy simulation into a GPU-based particle solver.
  • Created OpenONDA, a modular Python/C++ framework connecting a vortex-particle solver with OpenFOAM through in-line Python control.
  • Investigated multirotor wakes and atmospheric-boundary-layer entrainment using simulations and experimental data.
2021—2022

Research Engineer

RivalLab · Queen’s University · Kingston, Canada

  • Calibrated a transition-sensitive RANS model against experiments for transonic turbine flows in a Pratt & Whitney Canada partnership.
  • Designed towing-tank setups with actuation and measurement systems and analysed PIV/PTV data for unsteady flows.
2019—2021

Graduate Researcher · Fluid Dynamics

Queen’s University · Kingston, Canada

  • Developed graph-based methods for coherent-structure detection in sparse particle-tracking data.
  • Used CFD and towing-tank experiments to study a marine propulsion and energy-harvesting concept.
2018—2019

Research Associate · Fluid–Structure Interaction

Federal University of ABC · Santo André, Brazil

Investigated vortex-induced vibration and damping using 2D and 3D CFD models of elastically mounted cylinders relevant to offshore risers.

2017—2018

Mechanical Engineering Intern

Civil Structural Engineering Ltd · São Paulo, Brazil

Built a real-time vibration-monitoring system and supported load estimation, structural modelling, site work and technical reporting.
